Beslan Prayer

Dear God,

You grieve with the widow and the widower
You weep with the parents who bury their children
You show your concern for the orphan

We lift to you all those touched by the horror of the
hostage ordeal at Middle School Number One in Beslan

Wrap your loving arms around the grieving families
Heal the children of their physical and emotional wounds
Comfort the school staff traumatised by this ordeal

Wipe the tears from their eyes
Soothe their searing pain
Fill their emptiness
Take away their nightmares
Help them to let go of their anger and bitterness
Help them to forgive
Help them to live, love, play and laugh again
