A prayer for Red Lake High School, Minnesota, USA

God of Love,

In pain and anger
we lift to You the students and staff at Red Lake High School.

In numbness and despair
we lift to You the grieving families.

In powerless confusion
we turn to You to extinguish sin and defeat evil.

We pray for love,
so that, with Your help, human hearts can reject hatred.

We pray for peace,
so that, with Your help, human hearts can shun violence.

We pray for hope,
so that, with Your help, human hearts can defeat despair.

We pray for forgiveness,
so that, with Your help, human hearts can be healed.

We pray for wisdom,
so that, with Your help, human hearts can embrace truth.

We pray for courage,
so that, with Your help, human hearts can do what is right.

May we all hear Christ's teaching.
May we all understand Christ's death and resurrection.
May we all experience Christ's love in our lives.
