Global recession One of the realities for many families is rapidly increasing debt. Pray for the security of children whose lives could be devastated by collapsed household economies.

Eating Disorders Awareness Week starts next week. Pray for the 11,000 boys and young men and their families suffering at this time. Pray for their advisors and health care professionals, as the quality of care during such a serious illness makes all the difference.

Stockport Please pray for the work of Christians in Schools Trust in the primary and secondary schools of Stockport. Their workers, Sue, Andrew and Jonathan, seek to support Christian teachers and students and to serve the schools in which they work.

Slovakia Chris Elston says: Give thanks for the successful establishment of the English project at Emanuel Church, Cahul, South Moldova.The Lord has called a local teacher to continue courses I was teaching in the autumn.

World Book Day The Collective Worship Resource (Culham College) has a lesson plan for presenting the Bible as a book of lasting value. Pray that Christian teachers will be able to focus pupils’ minds in THE book, the Bible.

The 2010 Education Show is at the NEC, Birmingham. A number of Christian agencies will be there, including, on the Friday, Clive Ireson and Robert Hall, your ACT Directors. Please pray for good contacts and networking. As Christians, we understand that it’s who you know more than what you know.

The Association of School and College Leaders have their annual conference in London. Please pray for good outcomes from their deliberations and for Christian delegates.

Kenya IcFEM (Interchristian Fellowships’ Evangelical Mission) Dreamland Education Centre. Pray for God to provide a new school bus to replace the one we have, which is getting old and needing many repairs! A bus is essential for our students to reach school daily.

Stapleford Centre Pray that Centre's recently published resources, Someone Like Sam (Primary schools and churches) and Test of Faith lesson material (GCSE and A-level) will be taken up widely and prove to be invaluable and a blessing in their different spheres.
