Inclusive RE

Edited by Lat Blaylock

Rating:

This publication is one of the latest in the RE Today series called Engaging with Secondary RE. There are now nine in the series, each with practical activities and strategies for learning from a range of different contributors.  The book begins with an introduction to the topic. Inclusive RE gives well balanced views on the theme including useful definitions of what might be understood by inclusion. It provides busy teachers with well researched summaries on important matters related to RE, and teaching and learning more broadly.

The format of the book is similar to previous publications. Inclusive RE offers five or six enquiries, each having a different curriculum focus. The enquiries have been carefully chosen so that they are relevant to most agreed syllabi and can be used in different year groups. Many of the activities have been trialled in schools, and some have further development activities or suggestions available on the RE Today website (for subscribers).

Once again, this publication shows that RE Today Services are at the forefront of curriculum development and innovation in RE.
